A common complaint by interviewers is that when asking a candidate what they know about their company, they know nothing.
The more you know, the better, not only to appear knowledgeable and interested but also to make sure it’s the kind of company you want to work for.
- Check the company’s website and read every page.
- If they are a PLC (Public Limited Company), they will prepare an annual report. This will tell you about the company, its structure, financials and locations amongst other things.
- If the interview is through an agency, your consultant can give you more information.
- Phone the Head Office and ask the receptionist to post you a corporate brochure.
